Husband and wife Nick and Lyn started the business together back in 1985

Over the years, the business has grown and grown, from the cottage they began in, the Transit collections, to the first skip lorry, to the Valley View site in Penryn to the biggest expansion yet – The new Waste Transfer Station in Herniss.

Throughout the years, the business really has remained a family affair

At first run entirely by Nick and Lyn, Paul joined the company in 2000, learning the business from them both. Samantha joined in 2008 and Hannah in 2013. Having been around the business all their lives, the siblings are now working hard as the General Manager, HR Manager and Transport Manager, their parents are still a very active part of the business.

Although the business has undergone several significant expansions, to include new premises, a fleet of 24 vehicles, a staff of over 40 and weighbridge services, Nick Ferris Skip Hire Ltd has maintained strong local links, with some of those relationships tracing all the way back to the very beginning!
